Selected Special Accomplishments of Sarika Parekh
International Collaborations
Sarika Parekh was invited by Sarvajanik College of Performing Arts Surat, India in June 2015 for a Lecture Demonstration on Kathak Nritya Sarhad ne Paar (Kathak crossing the Indian Borders). Local artist Dr. Kakoli Chaterjee presented the traditional pieces while Sarika Parekh demonstrated Kathak using latin music, sports moves from basketball and soccer, panipuri and car driving themes to name a few.
By invitation from San Francisco Public Library, Sarika Parekh - in conjunction with Binal Vyas from India presented a lecture and demo for the Asian Heritage Month festivities - May 2016
